It’s been fun watching the vernacular of modern architecture shift over the last 10 year in Austin. I love this latest project from Forsite that takes the often replicated farmhouse modern style so prevalent but pushes it to a higher level. That HUGE second floor covered deck is brilliant too.

Here's a nice infill project by Forsite Studio. I'm always a sucker for a project with a knotty pine facade. It makes for a nice balance to the clean modern lines. The interior looks great as well, though I'm still confused by these tiny tubs I've been seeing. Are they supposed to be ofuros or just trick photography making them look small?

I'm always excited to see some quality looking new construction in East Austin. This project by Forsite Studio is following the latest hot trend of modern barn houses. One thing I love about this trend is the more traditional house shape makes for a less glaring contrast to neighbors houses when used as infill. The tall form also allows for some really nice interior spaces that show off the volume. This particular unit has taken good advantage of that with double height ceilings in areas and balcony views from the top floor down to the first floor.
